The Weihai Economic and Trade Exchange Center Project-Big Shell Project is located in Binhai New City, east of Weihai, Shandong. The membrane structure has an unfolding area of 3000 square meters and uses 300 tons of steel. It was constructed by Ningbo Wanhao Space Structure Engineering Co., Ltd.
The shape of the project is a shell shape, the structure is complicated, and the construction is very difficult. Almost every component needs to be independently lofted and positioned. The membrane structure is a combination of ETFE and PTFE membrane materials, which shows the application of membrane structure in the commercial field to a greater extent.
Currently, the project has entered the stage of steel structure installation.
